ESTA and USITT announce the initial sponsors for the New World Rigging Symposium, taking place March 13 - 14, 2018 in conjunction with the USITT Conference and Stage Expo 2018 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Signing up as the platinum sponsor is Stage Rigging, Inc. a diversified theatrical rigging company that provides a full range of specialized rigging services on a global basis for tours, corporate and special events, and expositions. Chris Schmidt, vice president and general manager of Stage Rigging, states, "For over 40 years Stage Rigging has been an advocate of rigging standards and education, the New World Rigging Symposium is the perfect event for both."

Gold sponsors are ETC, offering a range of hoists and controls to accommodate the needs of any production space and budget, and J.R. Clancy, providing professional rigging solutions worldwide for thousands of venues since 1885. PSAV, which has been connecting people around the globe with impactful meeting and event experiences since 1937, has signed on as the AV sponsor. The first bronze sponsor is Sapsis Rigging, Inc. a provider of stage rigging, fall protection, and safety systems for the entertainment industry.

Silver sponsorships at $5,000 each and Bronze sponsorships at $2,500 each are still available. Please contact riggingsymposium@esta.org for more information on becoming a sponsor.

The New World Rigging Symposium will offer riggers and those with a vested interest in rigging a unique opportunity to explore the complex issues and demands placed on today's rigging industry. The two-day symposium will include 10 sessions covering such varied topics as Automation and Touring, Cruise Ship Rigging, and Ground Support Concert Rigs. Scott Fisher will provide the keynote address. The Symposium will carry ETCP education renewal credits for re-certification.

The Symposium will also include multiple opportunities for attendees to network and a special lunch will include young industry members keen to learn from the professionals about how to pursue a career as a rigger.

Registration for the Symposium is now open at www.usittshow.com/registration. Registration for the two-day symposium, including lunches, is $375 and attendees will receive a free show floor pass to the USITT Stage Expo March 15 - 17. Attendees wishing to attend the full USITT Conference will receive a discounted price of $675 for both events.
