Leprecon Watson Remote Power Management Grows Another Leg

Leprecon's Watson remote power management unit

Leprecon LLC, a provider in theatrical lighting consoles, power distribution, and dimming systems, announces the release of a new model of the Watson Remote Power Management Products. The new Watson-208 features a two-pole 20A relay designed for delivering 208V to 240V AC power to electronic fixtures.

First introduced at LDI 2012, Watson devices provide AC power switching and DMX buffering for groups of LED or moving light fixtures. Using one DMX control channel or sensing DMX data, Watson turns fixtures off when they are not in use, saving power, extending fixture life, and isolating expensive electronics from power line glitches.

The additional isolated DMX output on Watson adds extra DMX capacity, and adds isolation between fixtures and the rest of the control system. The programmable LED display is used for setting the mode and a time delay for power on/off for each Watson unit.

Available now in two power configurations, a two-pole 208V - 240V model and, a single pole, 110V model with three form factors. All Watson units' ship with brackets for mounting near the fixtures. Optional W-DMX built-in wireless DMX receiver available.
