TheatreDNA Expands Team with Addition of Zachary Briscoe as Senior Theatre Consultant TheatreDNA, a full-service planning and design firm for performance venues, has announced that Zachary Briscoe has joined the firm as a senior theatre consultant. Based in Dallas, Briscoe brings nearly a decade of theatre consulting experience and a professional background spanning technical theatre, architectural drafting, performance equipment design and project management. Briscoe joins TheatreDNA following more than seven years with Schuler Shook, where he most recently served as a project theatre consultant. During his time with the firm, he worked on numerous projects for higher education and secondary schools across the US Southern region, providing project management and systems design for seating, theatrical rigging, and performance lighting and control systems. "We're thrilled to welcome Zach to the TheatreDNA team," says Michael Ferguson, founding principal of TheatreDNA. "He brings a strong combination of technical theatre expertise, project leadership and hands-on experience working across a wide range of performing arts facilities. Just as importantly, Zach understands that great theatre consulting is about more than systems and equipment -- it's about listening to the people who will use these spaces and translating their needs into thoughtful, practical design solutions." Briscoe's career has taken him across several sides of the performing arts and building industries. He is an associate ASTC member, with a bachelor of fine arts degree in theatre design and technology from Texas Christian University (TCU) and a master of fine arts in technical production from Florida State University. His past accolades include the Forrest A. Newlin Leadership Award at TCU and the Edward L. Lusting Award for the ASTC Renovation Challenge. Featured past project experience includes the Episcopal High School Visual and Performing Arts Center, the Libby Shearn Mood Performing Arts Center, and the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Arts and Media Building. At TheatreDNA, Briscoe will contribute to the firm's overall theatre planning and design work while supporting its strategic initiative to better serve design partners and venue operators within the education and cultural civic sectors. For more information regarding performance venue design opportunities within these sectors or the US Southern region, please contact Alex Hargis, principal of business development, at ahargis@mytheatredna.com.
