W-DMX Debuts Triple Band Technology

Wireless Solution Sweden AB announces the debut of new W-DMX triple band technology, making its first appearance during Prolight + Sound, March 12 - 15, at Messe Frankfurt, Germany, Hall 11, stand D80.

Wireless Solution is the first company to introduce dual band technology for wireless lighting control in 2011. Now, the company takes this one step further and introduces triple band technology. As regulations change over time and now to cover the EU Region with higher output compared to the permitted 5.8GHz bandwidth, Wireless Solution now introduces 5.2GHz in all W-DMX BlackBox and ProBox units as standard (Patent pending USA and EU).

With the 5.2GHz frequency, the maximum allowed output power is 200mW, which will provide a distance of approximately 100mW output power on the 2.4GHz. This equals up to 500m distance in line of sight.

For the user of wireless lighting controls, this offers a huge advantage for indoor applications where the 2.4GHz frequency band experiences an ever-growing amount of public wireless traffic. The company says Wireless Solution has listened to W-DMX clients and has now introduced new features, making it easier to use than ever before. The user can easily switch frequencies "on the fly" with the function button on the transmitter and all receivers will automatically respond.

Niclas Arvidsson, CEO of Wireless Solution says, "We are very excited to show the new triple band technology and debut it at Prolight + Sound. We know that users of this technology will appreciate the fact that we listen to what they want in our products and we deliver what they need. This development delivers an even more solid signal than previously and that gives our users an added layer of confidence and security."

During Prolight + Sound, Wireless Solution will also be celebrating a major milestone -- the W-DMX 10-year anniversary. The company was founded in 2003 and the first W-DMX product to market was debuted in March 2004 at the SIB Show in Rimini. Later that same year, Wireless Solution won the Innovation Award at PLASA. The success story continued at LDI in Las Vegas where Wireless Solution won the LDI Award as the first manufacturer to launch an IP65 solution for Wireless DMX. They continued to rake in the accolades over the next years, even receiving praise from Lighting & Sound International magazine saying of W-DMX, "In terms of performance, the W-DMX system outshone the rest. Despite trying, we could not get it to fall over using the interference tests, and it performed the best in the range tests" in the 2006 article "The Great Wireless DMX Shoot-Out."

Wireless Solution will be celebrating their 10-year anniversary during Prolight + Sound in Hall 11, stand D80. Visitors are invited to enter to win an iPad Air with 4G Modem inside. For those unable to attend Prolight + Sound, you can enter the contest online on the W-DMX facebook page at www.facebook.com/wirelessdmx.
