Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Sweeps Olivier Awards

The winners of the 2017 Olivier Awards, which honor achievement in the West End theatres scene, were announced April 9 at the Royal Albert Hall. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child took home a record-breaking nine wins (making it the most decorated production in Olivier history), including all four design categories. Neil Austin was honored with the White Light Award for Best Lighting Design; Christine Jones with the Blue-I Theatre Technology Award for Best Set Design. In addition, the award for sound design went to Gareth Fry and for costume design to Katrina Lindsay.
