ALL TOGETHER NOW! Telethon Raises $125,000; Presents Check to the City of Los Angeles Coronavirus Crisis Fund On Thursday, June 18, 2020, the team that organized the ALL TOGETHER NOW! all-star online telethon presented a check to the City of Los Angeles Coronavirus Crisis Fund in the amount of $125,000. Working closely with City Council member John Lee and his senior advisor Ron Rubine, the event, which was viewed by over 70,000 people from around the globe in more than 70 countries, was presented in association with the Get Together Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3), and aired on Alert the Globe (www.alerttheglobe.com), ABC7.com, Facebook Live, and www.alltogethernowla.org. 100% of the money raised went directly to the Mayor's relief fund to help Los Angeles support families and small businesses, relieve hospital and healthcare workers, provide critical medical resources, and provide essential services to the unhoused. "Our original goal was to raise at least $100,000 to help Los Angeles, and I am happy to report -- mission accomplished!" stated executive producer Kevin Wachs. "Thanks to John Lee and Ron Rubine, we have delivered the check to the Mayor's office, and I thank both of them from the bottom of my heart. A big thanks also goes out to all the artists, musicians, actors, and comedians who appeared on the show who were the foundation that helped us achieve our goal." In a brief statement, Councilmember John Lee echoed Kevin Wachs' sentiments: "We did it!! Over $100,000 raised for LA's COVID-19 Crisis Fund!
