ChamSys Officially Releases MediaMaster 26.0 Stable

ChamSys, a subsidiary of Chauvet & Sons LLC, has announced the official release of MediaMaster 26.0 Stable, the first full production release of the MediaMaster platform since ChamSys acquired the product and software portfolio -- including MediaMaster, KlingNet, and Grand VJ.

The launch delivers on the vision set out at the time of the acquisition: One Console. One Server. One Show. MediaMaster 26.0 combines the stability and worldwide support structure of ChamSys with continued development from the original MediaMaster engineering team, now working full-time for ChamSys.

MediaMaster 26.0 continues the development lineage of the widely used MediaMaster 6.0, rebuilt around a brand-new user interface designed for faster, more intuitive operation both in the studio and on tour. Alongside the visual improvements, ChamSys has introduced updated project and workspace tools, giving designers and programmers more flexible ways to organize shows, media assets, and layouts.

The release also brings a wide range of workflow improvements, including:

*Custom GDTF fixture export, streamlining integration with lighting consoles and other GDTF-compatible systems.

*Incorporation of ChamSys' Heads library into the MediaMaster LED Mapper, giving users access to an extensive, pre-built fixture database for pixel-mapping work.

*A redesigned project and workspace structure built around real-world touring and installation workflows.

MediaMaster 26.0 is built to meet the demands of modern show production, supporting up to 48 layers of 4K HDR media playback with advanced blending and composition. The software unites full video and pixel mapping capability within a single platform, with control via Art-Net and sACN alongside third-party protocol support for CITP and NDI -- allowing MediaMaster to sit at the center of a show's media and lighting.

"MediaMaster 26.0 is a complete rebuild -- new interface, new workflow, and much tighter integration with the ChamSys ecosystem," says Tony De Prins, MediaMaster product owner, ChamSys. "It's the foundation for MediaMaster becoming a core part of how ChamSys approaches show control."

Alongside the release of MediaMaster 26.0, ChamSys has also begun production of the eagerly awaited MediaMaster VS range of dedicated media servers. The range includes three models, scaling from the compact yet powerful VS1+ -- a 1U server with a single 4K output -- up to the flagship VS4+, offering four 4K video outputs with optional SDI/HDMI input capture cards for live capture.

MediaMaster 26.1, coming soon, will add USB-MIDI support, further improvements to MediaMaster's native SAGA codec, and support for the new CRA-compliant Sig-Net protocol -- keeping the platform aligned with the latest industry standards, the company says.

Looking further out, the ChamSys MediaMaster team is actively working to bring back a native macOS build of MediaMaster for the MediaMaster 27.0 release, extending platform support for cross-platform production environments.

To reward early adopters, ChamSys is offering a free upgrade to MediaMaster 27.0, once released, for all customers who have already purchased MediaMaster 26.0 or who purchase it between now and the end of 2026.
