NAMM Board Convenes for 2026 Annual MeetingNAMM concluded its annual board of directors meeting, highlighting a year of growth, execution, and strategic clarity - while setting a future course centered on data-driven ROI, advanced technology, and industry leadership. Twenty-nine industry leaders joined three days of meetings in Carlsbad, California, April 12-15. In a statement, the association says, "During the past year, NAMM successfully delivered on the commitments outlined at the April 2025 board meeting, including the introduction of a modernized technology stack, enhanced NAMM Show ROI, the launch of a member dashboard, increased member-employee engagement, enhanced segmented marketing capabilities, and a revised Vision, Mission, and Objectives (VMO)." "Our organization highly values the insights from the top industry leaders on our board to ensure that NAMM is continuing to evolve to support the needs of our industry," says John Mlynczak, president and CEO. "We are proud to demonstrate that NAMM is operating from a position of strength and alignment - and we are ready to seize the opportunities and overcome the challenges ahead with a clear and confident VMO for the future." "As chairman, I've seen firsthand the level of alignment, innovation, and forward-thinking leadership across this board," says Chris White, NAMM chair and president and CEO of White House of Music. "NAMM is not only responding to the needs of today's music products industry; it is actively shaping its future through its streamlined VMO, which is designed to better serve its global membership." At the center of the board's discussions was the evolution of NAMM's VMO, anchored in the guiding framework of gathering, serving, and growing. This streamlined strategic framework is designed to better serve members and the global music products industry. The revamped VMO reflects NAMM's commitment to innovation and leadership, the company says, particularly in the rapidly advancing fields of data, technology, and artificial intelligence. The 2026 NAMM Show served as a central focus of the meeting. Post-show data revealed high satisfaction scores, strong attendee engagement, and the right mix of participants across industry professionals, artists, educators, nonprofits, and influencers. Notably, influencer participation expanded dramatically, generating to more than 68 million consumers and amplifying brand visibility beyond the show floor. Additional highlights included the success of the five-day model, with increased attendance at education summits and sessions; increased digital engagement, including significant growth in map exploration and onsite content creation; strong adoption and engagement with the new NAMM Show mobile app; and enhanced badging systems, enabling more effective attendee qualification and new monetization opportunities. A comprehensive member services presentation showcased NAMM's continued investment in delivering value across education, policy, advocacy, data and insights, and career development. The successful launch of the NAMM member dashboard served as a key milestone, the company says, providing companies, employees, and individual members with enhanced access to benefits, content, and engagement tools. Additional initiatives highlighted included expanded global industry reporting and survey capabilities; new career resources, including an upcoming job board and workforce-development programs; growth of Young Professionals (VP) and Women of NAMM (WoN) programs; and improved marketing capabilities through segmentation and automation. The NAMM Foundation shared an update.
