Barco LiveDots Expands LED Product Range

The C5 Indoor LED Display

Barco LiveDots is expanding its LED range with three new products: a 5.5mm pitch black face indoor LED display, an 8mm outdoor SMD LED display system, and a single-piece outdoor LED billboard. All three innovations will be showcased at ISE in Amsterdam RAI, January 31 to February 2.

"Our LED product range consists of three platforms covering a wide spectrum of applications. The X-series is our premium product line, offering unprecedented image quality; the T-series is dedicated to 24/7 operation for branding and advertising applications where total cost of ownership is key; while the C-series is our mid-end offering, providing Barco image quality at an attractive price point for both event and permanent installations," says Carl Rijsbrack, CMO of Barco LiveDots. "We are happy to introduce a new product for each of these platforms -- this will enable us to meet our customers' needs even better."

The cross-rentable CX-8 is, the company says, the first true high-resolution outdoor LED display for the rental and staging industry. Thanks to its modular design and low weight, the CX-8 is simple to install and service. It features auto-calibration and auto-redundancy. It sea-worthy standard makes it suitable for cruise ship installations in addition to event and retail applications.

A 5.5mm pitch black face indoor LED display for rental and fixed install, the C5 offers a 10% resolution premium over established 6mm products on the market, the company says. Other significant technical features include a flown weight of less than 40kg per sq. m., integral concave and convex curving, no fans (resulting in silent operation), and, most importantly, Barco's network-to-network interface, which allows full integration with the DX-700 processing unit.

Digital City Posters are part of Barco's T-series and come in two variants: the DCP-0710 has a surface area of 6.8 sq. m. and a resolution of 300 x 216 pixels, while the DCP-0810 has a surface area of 8 sq. n. with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Thanks to Barco's proprietary color signature technology, the DCP-0710 and DCP-0810 deliver an excellent balance between brightness and contrast, guaranteeing exact reproduction of brand colors at all times, the company says. With less power consumption and a lighter weight than similar products, they are suitable for advertising and branding applications.

At ISE, Barco will be found in in Hall 11, Booth #11H65.
