Attendees Experience the Power of Powersoft's M-Force Low Frequency Solution at Boston and New York City

Powersoft co-founder Claudio Lastrucci presented on the myriad benefits in power and efficiency of Powersoft's Class-D amplification techniques.

Powersoft, a manufacturer of professional power amplifiers, held listening sessions last week in Boston and New York City to demonstrate its M-Force linear motor -- driven by the most powerful single amplifier module ever made, the M-Drive. The product presentations also included an overview of Powersoft's other amplifier product lines including the M Series, K Series, X Series, Ottocanali, and Duecanali.

Speakers at the event included Powersoft co-founder Claudio Lastrucci, who presented on the myriad benefits in power and efficiency of Powersoft's Class-D amplification techniques, and Massimo Minardi, product manager. "Powersoft introduced the first of its innovative Class D amplifiers in 1995, when it was still considered an unproven technology for audio applications," Lastrucci said. "Now its many benefits in output and efficiency have been widely acknowledges and it has emerged as the industry standard."

Minardi delved into the moving-magnet driver technology of the M-Force driver, recently employed as the driving force behind the largest subwoofer system in the world: Avalon Hollywood. "Prior to M-Force there was simply no driver in existence that could fully exploit the advantages of our Class-D amplifiers," Minardi explained. "As demonstrated during our listening sessions, with M-Force it is possible to do the work of multiple dual-diaphragm subwoofer cabinets with a single cabinet and diaphragm thanks to our revolutionary technology. The result reduces footprint, trucking loads, and power consumption while delivering pristine, powerful low end."

In addition to providing integrators, live sound providers, and dealers with an opportunity to experience M-Force first hand, the invitation-only events enabled Lastrucci and his team to highlight Powersoft's commitment to research and development, superior craftsmanship, and quality control at their facilities in Italy. "All of our products are made and tested in Italy by our skilled technicians," Lastrucci said. "As a company practice, we invest a healthy amount of our revenue into research and development, which shows our strong desire to continue to innovate and look ahead to the next generation of amplifier technology."
