Neutrik USA Supports the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus on the Warped Tour 2014

This summer, it's all about making the creative connection between young musicians, multimedia production, and live performance on the Vans Warped Tour. For 17 years in a row, the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus has offered fans across the nation the chance to experience this high energy music extravaganza in a whole new way. As the world's greatest non-profit professional mobile recording studio, it is only natural for the manufacturer of connectivity solutions, Neutrik, to fully support this endeavor.

The John Lennon Tour Bus is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that has traveled across the US and Canada for the past 17 years serving as a living legacy to John Lennon, providing emerging musicians and young people the opportunity to a first-hand music and video education at no cost.

The Vans Warped Tour is the nation's touring music festival focused on presenting the creative efforts of emerging artists. As part of the tour this year, the Lennon Bus made stops from Texas through California. In addition to print and online promotion, this year featured the third annual AP Cover Stars Live Chats. The live stream events were hosted by Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman, bringing the action of the festival to countless music fans across the world.

Attendees were encouraged to download the official free Neutrik-branded Lennon Bus app to tweet their questions to their favorite cover stars using #lennonbus and have them answered live. Eight different bands took part in the Q&A, including Michael Bohn of Issues, Derek Sanders of Mayday Parade, Ben Barlow of Neck Deep, Sydney Sierota of Echosmith, Garret Rapp of The Color Morale, John O'Callaghan of The Maine, Caleb Shomo of Beartooth, and Tay Jardine of We Are The In Crowd.

This year, the John Lennon Songwriting Contest's Vans Warped Tour prize was presented by Neutrik USA to the band Wildcat Apollo (http://www.wildcatapollo.com/), who had the chance to experience a week on the road in California, complete with an exclusive "Lennon Bus Live" session, and the opportunity to connect the Austin, Texas natives to their fans through the power of live music. The band's unique genre-bending brand of rock won over the audience -- as did the Neutrik concert swag that was distributed at the shows.

The Neutrik VIP "Fan Connection" provided unforgettable experiences to concert goers by providing backstage access on the Lennon Bus to meet their favorite rock stars. Additionally, The Sing Me a Story Foundation connected the voices of young people from hospitals around the country with the voices and songwriting abilities of their favorite artists, including Anberlin, Mayday Parade, Less Than Jake, and Wildcat Apollo.

Peter Milbery, president of Neutrik USA, Inc., reflected on the company's participation in the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus and the Warped Tour 2014. "The combined John Lennon / Warped Tour provides an opportunity for us to combine our support of the JLB bus with the Warped Tour. When we connect with musicians and people producing music at this level, it is a win for everyone," Milbery explained. "Exposure to the next generation of talent is especially appealing to Neutrik. When people who produce music have a positive experience with Neutrik in their formative years, it helps our brand and they are likely to maintain that brand association. I think partnering with the JLB to support and develop talent in the music industry through the Warped Tour is one of the best things we can do, plus it is fun."

"The Lennon Bus is proud to partner with Neutrik and connect young students and concert-goers with the opportunity to learn about multimedia productions and create professional projects at no cost," said Brian Rothschild, executive director of the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus and John Lennon Songwriting Contest. "Neutrik's motto of 'passion and excellence' only begins to describe how dedicated and focused the company is on giving back to the next generation of musicians."
