InfoComm America Latina Reports Successful ShowInfoComm America Latina 2026, held October 21-23 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City, brought together the region's AV integration industry community for three days filled with innovation, training, networking, and business development. In its second edition, the event organized by AVIXA welcomed 5,904 verified attendees, a 13% increase from 2025. International participation rose from 6% to 11%, and end users accounted for 26% of attendees. The event's regional focus was reinforced as professionals traveled from countries such as Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, and Panama. The event featured 82 exhibitors, 28% more than the previous year, and 4,033-sq.-m. of net exhibition floor space, a 52% increase. It showcased the latest technologies for professional audiovisual solutions, including LED and video displays, audio equipment, conferencing and collaboration systems, digital signage, control and automation, content distribution, lighting, AI-powered solutions, and immersive experiences. "I'm amazed by InfoComm America Latina 2026. What caught my attention the most was the genuine passion shown by the community," says Jenn Heinold, senior vice president, expositions, Americas, AVIXA, who oversees InfoComm in the US and InfoComm America Latina. "Those who were here last year were impressed by this year's experience and by the event's growth. First-time attendees discovered the dynamism of the audiovisual integration industry in Latin America, gained access to technologies that have entered the market over the past year, and returned home with new contacts, knowledge, and business partners." Heinold says the growth stems from the foundation laid by the first edition: relevant training, a diverse exhibition floor, and renowned specialists. "When you organize a good event, word gets around," she notes, adding that many visitors came this year because they heard about the 2025 event. The Latin American market is also growing, with integrators reporting more projects across the region. Ana Elisa Benavent, show director, adds, "InfoComm América Latina filled a gap in the industry. Previously, Latin American audiovisual integration professionals had to travel to Europe or the United States to access the latest innovations. Our goal is to bring that technology to the region and adapt distributors' training, experiences, and offerings to the region's reality and challenges. That's why there's so much energy among our visitors." In addition to larger, more elaborate booths and nine demo rooms, the educational program, led by 90 international specialists, drew 1,734 attendees, an 8.6% increase over 2025, across 61 sessions and five guided tours. Nearly half of participants (46%) attended more than one session. This edition was more interactive and hands-on, featuring in-demand workshops, an approach the event will continue to develop in 2027. The program featured familiar events, such as Congreso AVIXA, and added new knowledge tracks such as the AI Summit + Lab, dedicated to artificial intelligence in audiovisual integration; the HETMA Higher Education Summit, for university technology leaders; AVanza, aimed at promoting talent and professional development; and Pulse, featuring discussions on the design of immersive experiences, in addition to the highly sought-after technical sessions led by manufacturers under the Pro Training concept. For the first time at InfoComm America Latina, professionals could take the CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification exam during the three-day event, as well as the CTS Quick Prep course. "AVIXA is known for the excellence of its training. This year, we offered the CTS exams at the event for the first time, and we'll continue to do so next year," Heinold notes. "We'll continue to provide a top-tier educational program featuring the right experts and voices to drive the industry forward." The third edition of InfoComm America Latina will be held October 20-22, 2027, at the World Trade Center in Mexico City, with an exhibition floor 20% larger than before. 83% of the expanded floor space is already reserved. The exhibition will move to the venue's ground floor, the Maya halls, which offer a single, higher-ceilinged space ideal for showcasing technology with maximum impact. The Educational Program will remain in the mezzanine area, and the Demo Rooms will stay in their current location. "Having the entire exhibition in a single hall is more cohesive and will provide much more favorable conditions for exhibitors," Benavent says. InfoComm America Latina 2026 was supported by AVI-SPL, the global leader in technology solutions for the sector, as headline partner; Audio-Technica, a company specializing in audio systems for the professional AV industry, as a gold partner; and Absen Holding Mexico as a silver partner.
