QSC Expands E Series Lineup with Two New Models

QSC's back of the E215 full-range loudspeaker

A global pro audio sound reinforcement company, QSC, LLC announces the addition of two new models to the company's E Series loudspeaker line, first introduced one year ago at NAMM 2016. The E218SW dual 18" subwoofer and E215 dual 15" full-range cabinet now bring the model count of the Series to six.

Designed to meet the high-output, low frequency reproduction requirements of production professionals in larger indoor or outdoor venue applications, the E218SW subwoofer features two 18" die-cast frame woofers with 4" voice coils. Power handling of the subwoofer is 1,800W continuous (6,400W peak), delivering a whopping 132dB Max SPL and LF extension down to 32Hz at -10dB. Ground stacking is made easy due to the cabinet's conveniently located handles and captive-skid system.

The E215 full-range loudspeaker features dual 15" LF drivers (3.5" voice coil) and utilizes a frequency-shading topology, minimizing vertical lobing through the HF crossover transition. A large format 1.4" (2.8" voice coil) device provides transparent high frequency reproduction. Offering 1,200W continuous (4,800W peak) power handling, QSC's directivity matched transition (DMT) for uniform frequency response across the entire 75-degree coverage area, and enhanced LF extension (down to 40Hz), the E215 is ideal for customers seeking enhanced output and LF extension from a single passive box solution.

Both cabinets offer rugged plywood construction with black, texture-coated paint and comfortably-contoured metal handles. An optional eyebolt kit for the E215 will be available, while an optional caster kit for the E218SW will also be available.

Each E Series loudspeaker offers superior design and construction, robust reliability, and overall performance beyond expectations. Factory loudspeaker tunings found in QSC DSP-equipped PLD or GXD Series amplifiers or TouchMix Series digital mixers, the company says, further optimize E Series performance to deliver the most compelling price/performance offering in the industry.

Both models will ship in the spring of 2017.
