Symetrix Appoints Scott Woolley to Strengthen Connections With US Consultant Community

Scott Woolley, Symetrix

As part of Symetrix' continuing commitment to enhance its presence throughout the professional installation market, the digital signal processing specialist has announced the appointment of Scott Woolley to the role of special projects and consultant liaison. Based out of Salt Lake City, Utah, he will focus in particular on strengthening existing, and developing new, relationships with the US consultant community.

Woolley brings to the position considerable experience of professional audio and AV systems that has stemmed from roles with Spectrum Engineering and Lectrosonics, among others. "I have long been impressed by the approach that Symetrix has taken to the growing demand for high-quality DSP, and therefore jumped at the chance to help the company further enhance the support it provides to US-based consultants," he says.

His primary objectives include "ensuring that consultants have rapid access to product information and related materials, and are able to count on design support when they need it. What is very evident is that consultants' time is at a tremendous premium, and the more we can do to help them speed up design and specification work the better."

Woolley looks forward to growing Symetrix' presence in application areas including conferencing and other collaborative working environments: "These are such dynamic markets at present and there is a great role for Symetrix in enhancing audio quality for both local and remote participants," noting that the award-winning SymNet Radius AEC Dante-scalable DSP is a popular choice for such applications.

The manufacturer's manager, eastern regional sales, Jim Latimer, and manager, western regional sales, Tim Murray, welcomed Woolley's arrival: "Scott brings a fantastic wealth of industry experience to the role, including an acute understanding of the changing needs of US audio consultants. We are delighted to have him on the team."
