Wally New Comer Award Application Available on USITT Website

The Wally Russell Foundation announces that the annual New Comer Award application is now available on the USITT website at www.usitt.org.

To be eligible, nominees may be at any stage in their professional or academic career.

Nominees must be participatory and active in theatre, staging, academia, touring, or related work. Though not limited to, the newcomers should be primarily involved in design, technical theatre, automation and related systems, stage or facility technology, or projection systems.

Nominees may submit with their application any supporting documents that they feel would assist the Wally Foundation in their decision. Supporting documents must be provided in electronic format. Reference letters may also be provided.

Award winners will receive:
• $1,500 cash
• All expense paid trip and credentials to the annual USITT convention
• One-year membership in USITT

Persons who wish to apply should go to www.usitt.org/awards and go to the Awards section of the website where the application and further information is available. Applications for the award may be submitted until January 15, 2014.
