Signify Joins Experience Makers Lab as Spotlight Lighting Sponsor

Experience Makers Lab, the invite-only gathering for senior designers, production leaders, and technology partners shaping the future of live experiences, has announced that Signify has joined the 2026 program as a spotlight lighting sponsor. The company will feature its Color Kinetics and Vari-Lite brands.

Taking place September 21-23 in Toronto, Experience Makers Lab brings together an intentionally curated cohort of production professionals across touring, live events, broadcast, experiential, immersive environments, and installation. The program is designed to move beyond traditional trade show engagement by creating space for candid, cross-discipline dialogue, practical product feedback, hands-on learning, and meaningful sponsor interaction with the people who influence design, specification, and production decisions.

As spotlight lighting sponsor, Signify will have an opportunity to engage directly with the Lab's cohort through curated meetings, brand visibility, thought leadership, and programming designed to support deeper conversations with the professionals who rely on lighting technology in the field.

"Signify brings exactly the kind of depth, credibility, and product relevance we want at Experience Makers Lab," says Beth Weinstein, founder of Experience Makers Lab and managing director of BKA Marketing. "The company's Color Kinetics and Vari-Lite brands each hold an important place in the creative and technical vocabulary of this industry. Having them represented within the Lab gives our cohort access to brands that understand both the artistry and the operational realities of production. This is not about logos on a wall. It is about putting smart people in the room together and creating conversations that can move the industry forward."

Through its participation, Signify will connect with designers and production leaders working across disciplines where lighting intersects with video, camera, architecture, immersive environments, touring systems, and large-scale live production. The sponsorship also aligns with the Lab's emphasis on practical vendor relationships, real-world production challenges, and the evolving role of lighting in experience design.

"Experience Makers Lab offers a thoughtful environment for deeper industry engagement," says Martin Palmer, head of marketing, Color Kinetics and Vari-Lite at Signify. "While our Color Kinetics and Vari-Lite brands support different creative applications, both are rooted in helping designers and production teams realize ambitious visual ideas. We are excited to be part of a program that prioritizes conversation, collaboration, and meaningful feedback from the people specifying and using these technologies every day."

Experience Makers Lab was created in response to a changing industry landscape, where senior decision-makers are often difficult to reach through traditional trade show models and many production professionals are seeking more focused, valuable ways to connect with peers and technology partners. The program is structured around curated cohort participation, sponsor meetings, facilitated discussions, and practical sessions designed around the needs of working professionals.

"Lighting has always been both an art form and an infrastructure layer," Weinstein adds. "It shapes mood, story, camera, architecture, and audience experience, but it also has to survive budgets, timelines, labor constraints, and load-in reality. That is the kind of conversation the Lab was built to support, and Signify's participation makes the room stronger."
