SANYO projectors at Ambler Theatre 2011 Oscar Party

SANYO North America Corporation (SANYO), a subsidiary of SANYO Electric Co., Ltd., contributed to the glitz and glamour of the Ambler Theatre 2011 Oscar Party in Ambler, Pennsylvania with projectors that showed the event in clarity. Almost 450 attendees enjoyed everything from the pre-show to the main event in one of the theater's four dedicated projection areas.

After walking the Ambler Theatre's red carpet, partygoers were able to relish in old Hollywood glamour with dinner and red carpet preshow events at the theater entrance projected from the Sanyo PLC-XP46, telecast from a Samsung tuner and switched through a Kramer VP-728 seamless presentation switcher.

The projector also showed a custom pre-party PowerPoint loop with video clips. Everything was run at 1280x720 resolution, and the Sanyo PLC-XP46 provided a 'center cut' 16x9 widescreen image, projected from 22' to a Stewart Filmscreen StudioTek 100 screen mounted 7' above the floor.

"Needless to say, everything ran without a hitch from 5pm until midnight," said Pete Putman, attendee and editor of HDTVexpert.com and Pro AV magazine. "The lobby projection system attracted viewers even after the main telecast had started and the images from the main theaters were impressive."
