RTI to Showcase the World of Automation and Control at CEDIA 2016

At CEDIA 2016, RTI, a control and automation manufacturer for residential and commercial settings, will demonstrate the latest version of its Integration Designer APEX award-winning programming software and debut its new CX10 touchpanel among a complete line of control and automation solutions. Visitors to booth 3400 will have an opportunity to experience the power of the new programming software, get hands-on with the company's latest wired and wireless interfaces, as well as see the new Z-Wave lighting control solutions in action.

At the show, RTI will reveal the powerful new features and functionality of Integration Designer APEX. Attendees will see how the new software dramatically speeds up the installation process while maintaining RTI's signature for ease of customization, the company says. The software's enhanced capabilities include auto generation of the graphical user interface and programming, a new IR library, support for multi-room programming, the ability to resize bitmap graphics, and more.

The CX10's flexible design allows it to either be set on a countertop or inverted and mounted under a cabinet with a fully adjustable screen to attain the best viewing angle possible. The large 10", high-resolution LCD touchscreen is ample and powerful enough to act as a convenient HD video display via its HDBaseT input. And, with a built-in composite input and video intercom support, users can view security cameras and other devices. For ease of installation, the unit boasts wired and wireless Ethernet for two-way control and feedback, and convenient programming. The built-in IR and RS-232 port allow the CX10 to be fully integrated into a powerful RTI control system with direct control of other equipment and devices.

RTI will also display recently shipping interfaces, including the KX3 and KX10 in-wall touchpanels. Sporting a 3.5" color LCD display and five customizable hard buttons, the KX3 in-wall touchpanel is a unique hybrid device that combines the capabilities of both a touchscreen controller and a control processor within a single, cost-effective unit. Featuring a 10.1" 1280x800 WXGA resolution multi-touch-capacitive LCD display, the KX10 provides ample screen real estate and is programmable to the finest detail, the company says. The KX10's advanced engineering also makes it a convenient high-resolution display where users can watch HD video via the HDBaseT video input. Both touchpanels are equipped with a camera and microphone for video intercom functionality. In addition, RTI will highlight its new Z-Wave lighting control solutions, which enable users to easily manage lighting elements both locally and from the convenience of an RTI user interface. The devices utilize Z-Wave RF technology, creating a wireless network that seamlessly integrates with RTI's home and commercial automation systems via the ZW-9 Z-Wave interface module. Perfect for new construction and retrofit installations, the product line consists of light switches, dimmers, a lamp module, and receptacles, without requiring any new or specialized wiring. For instance, the innovative battery-operated "Anyplace" switch requires no wiring of any kind, offering incredibly flexible installation possibilities. With a classic, elegant design, the devices blend into any décor and easily scale to installations of nearly any size -- providing control for up to 200 devices.
