Morpheus Lights Introduces New Ayrton Luminaires at LDI 2016

Ayrton's new MagicPanel-FX

Morpheus Lights, the exclusive US distributor of Ayrton LED luminaires, will present a dynamic 240-fixture display of new Ayrton LED products at LDI 2016, booth #2059, at the Las Vegas Convention Center from October 21 thru 23.

The exhibit will feature the brand-new, zoom-equipped MAGICPANEL-FX projector and the brilliant new MAGICBURST graphic strobe luminaire, along with INTELLIPIX-XT, VERSPPIX-RS, and ALIENPIX-RS fixtures.

The exhibit will also introduce two exciting new variations of the 2016 LIVE DESIGN Award-winning MAGICDOT-R: the scaled up MAGICDOT-XT and the zoom-equipped MAGICDOT-SX.

Ayrton continues to prove itself to be the industry leader in Digital Lighting, developing innovative and proprietary solutions for focusing the latest, low-etendue, LED chipsets into tight, collimated beams, then coupling that with continuous unlimited rotation in their automated effects fixtures.

For 2016, Ayrton has advanced the evolution of these state-of-the art fixtures, with an intense vision of, and focus on, the future of LED illumination. Once again, Ayrton demonstrates their company philosophy of "Innovation: Not Imitation."

MagicPanel-FX is an exciting new multi-function luminaire with a front face comprised of a 5 x 5 array of squared lenses designed to conjure up a multiplicity of 2-D and 3-D effects. Marking another step in the evolution of the MagicPanel concept, and sharing identical dimensions with DreamPanel-Twin, DreamPanel-Shift and MagicBurst, MagicPanel-FX multiplies the creative potential of Ayrton' Creative Solutions and Imaging Display families of fixtures.

Its revolutionary, new and proprietary, 15:1 optical zoom system with no visible external moving parts, gives MagicPanel-FX variable beam angles from 3.5° to 52°. These zoom optics are capable of projecting everything from tight shafts of light to a wide wash, and produce a solid beam of light that "squares off" as it separates into a stunning patchwork of colors.

MagicBurst is the industry's first high-power graphic LED strobe with continuous, unlimited rotation on both pan and tilt axes. The 384mm x 384mm (15" x 15") squared face supports 3,840 high-output white LEDs grouped into 64 pixels in an 8 x 8 matrix. The strobe duration, speed, and intensity of each 60-LED pixel can be individually controlled to create brilliant and breathtaking stroboscopic effects and graphic arrays.

A library of fixed images and pre-programmed dynamic effects are accessible from fixture memory. With a new, state-of-the-art ultra-compact, 1,300W power supply, MagicBurst delivers peak light output of over 240,000 lumens -- perfectly calibrated at 5,600K -- for a duration of several seconds.

MagicBurst has a minimalist design and reduced visual footprint, with a similar form factor to the DreamPanel product family and the new MagicPanel-FX -- to permit creation of giant graphic arrays with no visible structure, for astonishing results.

INTELLIPIX-XT is a refined and evolved version of the original INTELLIPIX-R fixture. Featuring Ayrton's proprietary 126mm (5.0") diameter XT optics, the fixture offers nine hi-power 2º beams. An optional coupling accessory permits multiple fixtures to be precisely aligned and configured into large geometric panels.

A contraction of versatile and pixel, the luminaire is a veritable fan of light. This unit is the first in Ayrton's new ultra-radical "RS" line, which combines a reduced-scale multichip RGBW LED emitter with the same 94mm optic found in MagicDot-R. This luminaire generates a record-breaking center-beam intensity of 200 candelas per lumen. VERSPIX RS offers infinite possibilities for creating volumetric 3-D aerial effects, the company says.

AlienPix-RS is a unique, multi-rotational luminaire with eight axes of continuous rotation and six individually controllable beams. Inspired by fixtures from the '70s and '80s, AlienPix-RS uses modern technology, optics, and LED sources to combine a multiplicity of effects within a single luminaire.

A tight, 3.5° RGBW LED spot, with a center-beam luminous intensity of over 180 candelas per lumen, is at the center of a large disk, surrounded by five additional spot heads at the perimeter that can tilt continuously as the entire disc rotates, pans, and tilts in any direction. AlienPix-RS is out of this world.

MAGICDOT-XT is a "supersized" version of the MAGICDOT-R, which scales the beam diameter up and narrows it down. MAGICDOT XT is equipped with Ayrton's new, proprietary 126 mm (5.0") diameter optic that projects a 2º beam with a center-beam intensity of 580,000 candelas.

MAGICDOT-SX is an optically evolved, multipurpose variant of the award-winning MAGICDOT-R with the same form factor and dimensions, featuring ultra-fast beam movement and continuous unlimited rotation on pan and tilt.

The fixture is equipped with a revolutionary new 8:1 optical zoom (patent pending) that has a fixed transmitting lens, no visible moving parts and a range of 5° to 40°. The short-stroke of the MAGICDOT-SX zoom system allows the fixture to switch from intense beam mode to sweeping wash mode virtually instantaneously.

Established favorites including the DREAMPANEL-TWIN and Ayrton's NANDOBEAM range of zoom wash luminaires will also be on display.

Ayrton and Morpheus Lights look forward to meeting visitors on the show floor, and introducing them to these next-generation entertainment lighting products. LDI 2016 - Booth #2059.
