New York Festival of Light Announces First LightOn October 24th 2013 New York City will join the ranks of many other major cities around the world with the launch of "First Light." The New York Festival of Light's inaugural kickoff event, First Light will take place in the outdoor garden of the Elizabeth Street Gallery on Elizabeth Street in Manhattan. This iconic garden will be adorned with lighting installations, lighting sculptures, and dramatic projections. Enjoy a special performance by French performing artist Nicole Renaud, with music by celebrity DJ Donna D'Cruz, projection art by 3_ Search, light sculpture by Matilde Alessandra, and many other surprise artists/installations. Lighting designers, artists, local politicians, and festival supporters will be attending, expressing their love of light and their desire to propel New York onto the world stage as an iconic member of the world lighting festival community.
