DAS Audio Delivers Pristine Sound and High Energy at Miami's Anatomy Gym

By partnering with leaders in age management, chiropractic care, IV nutritional therapy, and beauty, Anatomy Gym has created an intimate and integrated health and wellness community where members can sweat, enhance, and recover together -- all under one roof. At the company's midtown Miami location, the second floor studio recently received a significant boost in audio performance by way of a new sound reinforcement system that utilizes loudspeakers drawn from the new E11EVEN Sound Series by Valencia, Spain-based DAS Audio.

Miami's Francois Frossard Design, also known as FFD, is an architectural and design firm that operates primarily in the hospitality and high-end residential markets. The firm was contracted to deploy the new sound reinforcement system at Anatomy Gym. Working in coordination with John Fiorito, DAS Audio of America's national installation manager, the company installed eight DAS ES26 loudspeakers along with two S18 subwoofers. Francois Frossard, FFD's principal, discussed the project and his reasons for selecting DAS Audio.

According to Frossard, "Anatomy Gym's second floor studio is an interactive workout area where the instructor leads a large class of gym members rotating among various workout machines under a heightened sensory experience of music and lighting, complete with a nightclub setting. This makes the workout more fun and time goes by quicker, as the clientele feed off the energy of each other and that of the instructors during the sessions. The instructor plays hip hop / house music along with other formats and uses a Shure fitness microphone to coordinate the class and provide instruction."

The new sound system at Anatomy Gym is configured in such a way whereas the DAS ES26 mid/high enclosures are run in stereo with mono sub bass. The loudspeakers are placed in a two four-point system. This means the room is a perfect square but is too long to just have loudspeakers in the four corners. As a result, in the center of the room, the loudspeakers are at a V-mount. All loudspeakers use the DAS ceiling mount bracket.

When queried about those DAS Audio attributes that made the E11EVEN Sound loudspeakers the ideal choice for this project, Frossard offered the following thoughts: "The E11EVEN Sound Series is designed for high output music playback and is capable of extremely high sound pressure levels along with the utmost clarity and super clean low frequencies. These characteristics made them the perfect fit for the types of high energy activities that take place at Anatomy Gym."

For most installation projects, questions invariably arise, so responsive and capable support is crucial to its success. In this regard, Frossard rates DAS very highly: "When it comes to support, DAS is tops. I would summarize the company in a few words: professional, easy to get hold of, and they respond in a timely manner. John provides excellent technical advice and great service, and the DAS staff is always available whenever I need them!"

Frossard and his crew installed Anatomy Gym's new sound system in November 2019, and it was placed into service immediately thereafter. Since that time, he reports his client is very pleased. "With its clear, powerful sound, the new system injects a high level of energy into the exercise programs, and you can see that it has a dramatic impact on the people as they exercise. The music is vibrant, and the instructor's speech is articulate. Together, it makes for a fun and energizing time for everyone involved. With the E11EVEN Sound loudspeakers, DAS has another winner on hand."
