Partech Takes a Shine to elektraLite Stingray Profile

Founded in 1988, Cincinnati, Ohio-based Partech Lighting Systems has spent the past 30 years serving the professional lighting needs of its clients in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and beyond. Now, as Partech enters into its fourth decade, president Dave Groh is continuing to grow his business and expand his inventory with the industry's latest and greatest products, including the company's ongoing addition of elektraLite Stingray Profile LED spot luminaires.

"Although we initially ordered a dozen Stingrays, we've already purchased more -- and now we're planning to increase that number again in the near future," shares Groh, who notes that the ultra-bright ellipsoidal fixtures are quickly proving to be a popular choice with his company's clients. "We've also just installed Stingrays in a house of worship, and have a couple of additional installations planned with them for other client projects."

First introduced in 2017, elektraLite's Stingray Profile delivers clean, warm white light with a truly incomparable level of intensity for its range. At the heart of the fixture is a newly designed, highly efficient, 300W COB LED producing an incredible output of 9,655 lumens, making the Stingray Profile among the brightest fixtures in its class. With its balanced 3,200K color temperature and CRI of 95, the ellipsoidal spot is a powerful performer as a stage light for a myriad of live environments.

"Partech has an extensive number of conventional HPL incandescent ellipsoidal fixtures, but we wanted a powerful yet affordable LED option to add to our inventory," says Groh. "Compared to all of the other competitive options available on the market, the Stingrays made the most sense in terms of both reliability and cost. And another great 'plus' for us is the fact that our existing competitor lens tube inventory fits into the Stingrays, giving them a lot of added versatility without an additional expense."

When it comes to performance, he notes that his new elektraLite luminaires have more than satisfied everyone. "The Stingrays produce a really good, flicker-free, even, bright quality of light -- perfect for our AV clientele that work in camera environments -- plus they have a nice dimmer curve and are exceptionally quiet. Our staff enjoys working with them, too, as they're simple to connect to and adjust their settings via the rear display. The Stingray is also fairly light and easy to focus. It's just a great, solid, simple LED ellipsoidal that isn't over-engineered with a bunch of rarely used extra features."

The new spots have also been well received and performed perfectly with rider fulfillment for Partech's larger entertainment events, says the owner. "We used the Stingrays numerous times this past summer as downstage truss key specials trimmed out at around 30', paired with a fairly good number of automated fixtures, and they read better than the conventionals we used previously," he enthuses.

Having a number of other elektraLite fixtures and controllers already in Partech's gear arsenal, Groh adds that the brand's track record helped seal the deal to buy the new ellipsoidals: "We have used and sold many elektraLite fixtures over the years, and they've consistently represented solid reliability at an affordable price point. elektraLite's distributor, Group One, has also always given us excellent service and support, which made our decision to use the Stingray Profile as our spot fixture of choice an easy one. elektraLite's new ellipsoidal is a real winner and we've been exceptionally happy with it."
