Chauvet DJ Lights Up NAMM 2018 with Innovation, Upgrades and New Lighting Tools

Chauvet DJ's Freedom H1 and case

Chauvet DJ has a long legacy of leading the way with lighting innovations. That tradition will continue at the 2018 NAMM Show, as the company introduces additions to its wireless Freedom series, a smart, versatile new version of its popular GigBAR and a host of other new products that are destined to raise the bar in their categories.

Visitors to the company's NAMM booth (11133) are certain to be impressed by the new Freedom H1, a compact 100-percent truly wireless, battery-operated LED wash light with a built-in D-Fi transceiver and a single hex-color (RGBAW+UV) 10W LED that produces a rainbow of realistic accent light colors. Completely wireless, this compact fixture can be mounted virtually anywhere, even on most metal surfaces, thanks to its magnetic base. Multiple units can be remotely controlled simultaneously via stand-alone mode, wireless DMX, or IR. User-friendly, it also features an easy-to-read digital display. The Freedom H1 X4 system includes four fixtures, four diffusers, a carry bag, multi-charger, and IRC-6 remote.

Another NAMM newcomer for Chauvet DJ is the GigBAR Flex, which represents the next generation in the series that's become legendary for making mobile entertainment lighting easier and more convenient. The new GigBAR Flex adds even more of these user-friendly qualities to the original GigBAR three-in-one pack-n-go lighting system. A versatile light show-machine, the new product features two LED Derbys, RGB+UV LED Quad-color pars, and strobes. For added versatility it has a pass-through mounting hole for use with various stage and speaker stands, as well as adjustable leg brackets.

The new Wash FX2 will also be debuting at NAMM. This multi-purpose effect light has 18 quad-color (RGB+UV) LEDs that can be used as a regular wash light or as an eye-candy effect with six chasing zones. An on-board dimming feature adds to its capabilities, and the unit's powerful UV LEDs can be used to create a psychedelic black light effect in addition to delivering brilliant color-mixing.

Among the Chauvet DJ NAMM introductions are three exciting effects lights:
Line Dancer -- a compact LED fixture that projects strips of rotating multicolored light and creates mid-air effects that blanket an entire space with eye-catching patterns. Multiple zones and adjustable rotation speeds can be used to create spectacular animated effects. The digital display makes it possible to set color and rotation speed without any controller.
Duo Moon -- a plug-and-play LED light that projects a fun moonflower and strobe effect. It includes built-in automated and sound-activated programs.
Mushroom -- a new compact, easy-to-set-up version of the classic plug-and-play effect light that generates hundreds of sharp, multi-colored beams. Built-in automated programs and sound activation modes mean no programming is needed. Mushroom's compact size and light weight make load-in and set up effortless.

"We're humbled and honored by the recognition Chauvet DJ has received at NAMM, winning 'product of the year' awards multiple times from MMR and Music & Sound Retailer," said Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet. "Our team is committed to continuing this tradition of innovation. This commitment is very evident in the new fixtures we are introducing at NAMM. Like the innovations that came before them, these products were thoughtfully designed to offer new solutions to end-users, and create new selling opportunities for Chauvet DJ dealers."
