MIDAS PRO2/C Wins MIPA at Prolight + Sound

MIDAS picked up the MIPA (Musikmesse International Press Award) for Live Mixing Desk for the new PRO2/C live audio system at Prolight + Sound 2012. MIPAs are presented to the best products released during the previous year as voted for by more than 100 international audio and music magazines. The award was accepted by MIDAS brand development manager Richard Ferriday at a ceremony where the PRO2/C won out over the Digico SD10 and Allen and Heath GLD, which were also nominated.

The award reflects the success of the PRO2/C, which has become the fastest selling MIDAS console since reaching the market in October, and doubling the amount of MIDAS digital consoles in the field. Worldwide sales have now reached four figures, and PRO2/Cs have graced the stages and FOH of artists including Florence and the Machine, Jessie J, Blondie, Example and Takida, and popped up at Malawi Lake of Stars festival, the 100th anniversary of the ANC in South Africa, the BRIT Awards and the Dubai International Jazz Festival.
