ETC Releases HPU+ Hybrid Processor

	The HPU+ is backed by a five-year warranty.

ETC announces the latest addition to Hog hardware, the HPU+. This new hybrid processor can act as either a rack-mounted console or a DMX Processor connected to another Hog family console product.

A simplified mechanical design makes the HPU+ easier to service and more road-ready than ever before. The IO on the rear panel has also been updated to align with new Hog consoles, including etherCON connectors, opticalCON Duo fiber optic connectivity, a built-in LTC/SMPTE connection, and TRUE1 TOP power input.

"HPU+ brings all the power of a Hog console to those spaces that don't truly need a permanent hardware front-panel solution, like cruise ships and theme parks," says Tania Lesage, market manager at ETC. "But at the same time, HPU+ can expand existing Hog systems with an additional 64 universes of control. It really is a powerful tool."

While original HPU units move into legacy, they will continue to function and receive software updates.

Like other Hog family products, HPU+ is backed by a five-year warranty. The same warranty covers original HPU units purchased in 2026.
