Astera QuikPunch Hits the US Rental MarketAstera's newly launched QuikPunch has officially entered the US rental market, says the company's exclusive US partner Inner Circle Distribution (ICD). Designed as a dual-duty fixture, QuikPunch is billed as delivering a razor-sharp, high-intensity spotlight or a smooth, wide-area was light, depending on need. It's built to emulate the output of a 650W tungsten fixture, while consuming just 75W, producing up to 8,000 lux at 3m (9.8'). It also boasts a 13-degree-to-60-degree zoom, zero light spill, and up to 4.5 hours to continuous runtime on its internal battery, making it equally suitable for fast-paced concerts, live events, and professional film shoots. Two industry-leading rental companies -- Mainlight and RST -- have taken delivery of hundreds of units. The fixtures are currently being prepped in their warehouses, ready for deployment. Sebastian Buckle, chief sales officer at Astera, says, "We designed QuikPunch to be an all-in-one solution for fast-aced environments, combining high output, wireless control, and rugged build. Seeing top-tier companies like Mainlight and RST adopt it so quickly confirms the demand for tools that keep up with modern production needs. We're proud to support their work." Filippo Frigeri, VP of sales and marketing at Inner Circle Distribution, adds: "This is a major step forward. QuikPunch brings a new level of agility and reliability to the US rental market. Mainlight and RST are exactly the kind of innovative partners who recognize and act on that potential. We're excited to see how far this fixture will go." Equipped with Astera's RGBMA Titan LED engine, wireless CRMX control, barndoors, foldable mounting options, and compatibility with the PrepBox/ChargingPlate ecosystem, QuikPunch is engineered to streamline both creative setups and technical workflows, the company says. The QuikPunch follows in the footsteps of its smaller sibling, the QuikSpot, which, the company says, has already seen remarkable success with thousands of units sold since its debut at LDI 2024.
