Audio Makes a Triple Play at LDI2017

Live Outside at LDI2016

Listen up as LDI2017 tunes into the professional audio market in three big ways:

LDI: Live Outside: The second annual Live Outside event at LDI2017, Live Outside combines the speed and agility of a mobile concert set-up and music festival, showcasing the world's best festival and concert designers and producers. Live Outside is demo and training, showing real-time, real-world set-up in a non-permanent location. Live Outside features demos from event sponsors Apex Stages, DECK TO/GO, and RCF.

Kick off the LDI2017 weekend experience on Friday, November 17, 2017, 6:00 - 9:00pm with a music festival, including food trucks, bars, and live entertainment. On Saturday night, the Live Outside stages will showcase the LDI Awards, featuring new categories and an awards after party.

Audio Pavilion: New this year at LDI2017 is an indoor audio pavilion: LDI Amplify, which provides audio manufacturers an opportunity to meet with the more than 13,000 attendees at LDI, more than 30% of which indicate they work with sound gear as part of their job. While Live Outside focuses on products for the outdoor festival market, LDI Amplify takes a look at gear for permanent installations such as theatres, houses of worship, clubs, cruise ships, and theme parks.

Professional training: Audio training is back at LDI with two initiatives in 2017:

* Sound Tracks: A series of sessions in the LDInnovation Conference targeted at professional audiophiles. These sessions include a keynote address by award-winning engineer Robert Scovill, who has worked at the forefront of touring sound in his four decades mixing artists like Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Rush, and Def Leppard, who will provide insight on the future of the technology and craft of live sound.

* QLab 4: Used from Broadway to Britain's West End, QLab4 is a powerful tool for audio, projections, and show control. A full day of hands-on training at LDI2017 teaches the new QLab 4 software for audio control, cue carts, and network functions.

Registration for LDI's professional audio training will open at ldishow.com the last week of June 2017.
