Sew What? and Rent What? Custom Stage Drape Providers Together on YouTube Channel

It's all about "sew and tell" for custom theatrical drapery manufacturer Sew What? Inc. along with sister company, theatrical drapery rental supplier Rent What? Inc. The two entertainment industry firms have established a joint YouTube channel to house their various promotional and instructional videos.

While both Sew What? and Rent What? each maintain their own website and brand identity, the two firms often find themselves working together for clients who are looking to both rent "soft goods," as well as to have custom stage drapes created for their productions.

"The idea of bringing both companies together on one YouTube channel helps event producers and production designers visualize all kinds of new possibilities," said Megan Duckett, president of Sew What? and partner in Rent What? "This makes it easier for them to see how different rental drapery series can be combined with custom products to create entirely new looks for their productions."

Duckett points out that the two businesses operate in a visual medium, so offering online video demonstrations help in their ability to communicate the two drapery firms' unique value proposition to their customers, both separately and jointly.

"We listen to our clients all the time and get some of our best ideas from their input," she added. "In this case, they wanted more visual engagement. They want to see how a kabuki system can be used to reveal a huge aircraft or drop a thousand ping pong balls at the throw of a switch. They want to see how some of the biggest performers are using our drapes in combination with lighting and sound to create amazing staged events."

Large name entertainers and clients of the two firms include the likes of Rod Stewart, Cheryl Crow, Kelly Clarkson, John Mayer, Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani, James Taylor, Alice in Chains, and more, all of whom have their staging productions featured on the YouTube channel.

In addition, there are informational videos produced by Dell featuring both Sew What? and Rent What? executives discussing their company visions and operations, and how these two firms meet the drapery needs in the entertainment industry today.
