Nominations Announced for the Lucille Lortel Awards

The nominations have been announced for the Lucille Lortel Awards, which honor achievement in New York's Off Broadway theatre scene.

In the category of scenic design, the nominees are Bob Crowley for Once, produced at New York Theatre Workshop and now on Broadway; Lauren Helpern for 4000 Miles, at the Lincoln Center Theatre; Andrew Lieberman for Look Back in Anger, at Roundabout Theatre Company; Adrianne Lobel for Galileo, at Classic Stage Company; and David Zinn for The Select (The Sun Also Rises), at New York Theatre Workshop.

Lighting design nominees include Natasha Katz for Once, Keith Parham for Tribes, Justin Townsend for Unnatural Acts, produced at Classic Stage Company, David Weiner for Through a Glass Darkly, produced by Atlantic Theatre, and Scott Zielinski for An Iliad, at New York Theatre Workshop.

Those nominated in the sound design category include Mark Bennett for An Iliad, Clive Goodwin for Once, Daniel Kluger for Tribes, Matt Tierney and Ben Williams for The Select (The Sun Also Rises), and David Van Tieghem for Through a Glass Darkly.

The costume design nominees areESosa for By the Way, Meet Vera Stark, at Second Stage; Toni-Leslie James for Milk Like Sugar, at Playwrights Horizons, William Ivey Long for The School for Lies, at Classic Stage Company, Ilona Somogyi for Maple and Vine, at Playwrights Horizons, and Catherine Zuber for Death Takes a Holiday, at Roundabout Theatre Company.
