Drape Kings Covers Met Life Stadium

Drape Kings draped Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, with almost two-and-a-half miles of its custom-made green mesh drape for the 12th reading of the Talmud by the Agudath Israel of America. This event, which occurs every seven-and-a-half years, celebrates the completion of the reading of the Talmud, the book of Jewish law and tradition. The celebration was attended by over 90,000 people, in addition to another 30,000 viewing it via satellite, making it the largest celebration of its kind.

At specific times during the Wednesday, August 1 event the women at the event were required to be unseen but able to participate. This was achieved with a mechitzah, or privacy screen, created by Drape Kings. Hung in four tiers in the women's seating area, located on the 300 level of the stadium, the screen provided the participants with the required coverage while still allowing for their participation and inclusion.

In addition to the mechitzah, Drape Kings provided over 600' of its inherently fire-retardant black encore drape, two thousand two hundred and sixty-eight 25lb sandbags, 5,000 tie wraps,11,500 ratchet straps, 17,500 clips and hundreds of hours planning, preparing and implementation.
