Music Matters Productions Hosts GLP Roadshow, Showcases MAD MAXX in Atlanta

When the sun went down, MAD MAXX stole the show, projecting its super-fat beam for miles.

On August 26, Music Matters Productions (MMP) opened its doors to the Atlanta production community as German Light Products (GLP) rolled into town with its 2025 Roadshow. The event gave lighting professionals a hands-on look at GLP's latest products and capped the night with the debut of the MAD MAXX fixture.

The roadshow stop at MMP's Atlanta headquarters gave designers, programmers, and technicians a chance to test new gear in a real working shop environment. Guests explored GLP's newest lineup which included the Creos, Matrix Eye, and the all-new Nexus battery-powered fixtures. Additionally, attendees got to see the upgraded JDC2 strobe and the first-of-its-kind MAD MAXX LED beam with their unique effects and capabilities.

When the sun went down, MAD MAXX stole the show, projecting its super-fat beam for miles.

"I've read and heard so many great reviews for the new GLP fixture lineup this year," says Calvin Johnson, a local lighting designer. "The JDC2 was a standout with its expanded pixel control, but the MAD MAXX was unlike anything I've seen. Watching that massive beam cut through the night sky was incredible. I can't wait to see how it gets used on shows."

For MMP, the collaboration was a chance to give back to the local community while highlighting one of their closest manufacturer partners. "We always love the opportunity to welcome the greater production community into our shop," says Aaron Soriero, owner of Music Matters Productions. "Working with Brad and the GLP team makes it easy for us to host events like this without halting our daily operations. It's a win for our crew, for GLP, and for the Atlanta market."

Brad Schiller, director of lighting technology engagement at GLP, adds: "The show was a wonderful success. The MMP team is so helpful and hospitable, and their warehouse was the perfect setting. We appreciate the partnership and look forward to our next visit."

The GLP Roadshow continues this month with stops in Chicago (September 11), Las Vegas (September 15-16), and San Francisco (September 18). Attendance is free, and more information can be found at glp2025.rsvpify.com/.
