Audinate and Red Rocks Audio Announce Collaboration

Audinate and Red Rocks Audio SL have entered into an agreement to incorporate Dante technology as the default digital networking solution for all Red Rocks Audio future products and designs. The first of these products is scheduled to launch by Q4 of 2011.

Located in Santiago de Compostela, in the Northwest of Spain, Red Rocks Audio historically has specialized on three main areas of product development; DSP processing, Class D amplifiers, and switching mode power supplies. Red Rocks Audio SL was launched in 2001, focused on pro audio and lighting rental services and recording studio equipment sales and service. The company has longstanding relationships with well-known Spanish brands such as DAS Audio, Beyma, and Tecnare. It also distributes advanced Pyramix workstations, Artist Series controllers from Euphonix, and Avid products, providing installation and customer service to major post-production facilities and recording studios.

"Dante was the chosen because we demand a longterm solution with no compromises. Support and performance were also an important key factor in our decision to go with Dante," says Jose Manuel Tasende, Red Rocks Audio's owner and main designer. "Audinate has been on the cutting edge of digital networking for many years. We see Dante as the solution for the future, not just for right now."

Audinate's John McMahon, VP of worldwide sales and support, remarks "We are very much impressed with Red Rocks designs and track record and look forward to their upcoming Dante enabled products. As part of the collaboration, Dante will be integrated into Red Rocks' new products giving them a premier networking solution today that works with off-the-shelf network switches and an upgrade path to AVB as the standard evolves."
