Tootsie's Orchid Lounge Opens in Panama City Beach with DAS AudioAs Tootsie's Orchid Lounge expands its celebrated live music tradition to Panama City Beach, the new venue is relying on a custom DAS Audio sound system to deliver clear, consistent sound for artists and audiences alike. Building on the legacy of the renowned Nashville venue, the Panama City Beach location was designed to bring country music entertainment back to the Florida Panhandle. From the earliest planning stages, the team recognized that professional audio would play a central role in creating the atmosphere they envisioned. "The idea was to deliver live concert-level sound in a bar, something that really didn't exist in Panama City Beach," says Mark Zuckerman, production manager for Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. "We wanted guests to be able to enjoy dinner, relax with friends, or party when that was the vibe, all with the same exceptional audio experience." To bring that vision to life, Tootsie's selected DAS Audio's ARA Series, with the system purchased through GC Pro and designed by Zuckerman in close collaboration with DAS Audio, including Carlos Henao, senior sales engineer. The collaboration built on a relationship Zuckerman has trusted for nearly a decade. "I knew the people at DAS, like Carlos, wouldn't steer us in the wrong direction," says Zuckerman. "They took the time to understand what we were trying to accomplish, from designing a system for a beachfront venue to creating the experience we wanted our guests to have." The installation features a comprehensive DAS Audio sound system, including SARA-100 line arrays, SARA-SUB and LARA-SUB subwoofers, ARA-M210 stage monitors, and ARA-P28 loudspeakers for front-fill and outdoor coverage. Together, the system was designed to support live performances from local musicians to touring acts, daily venue operations, and outdoor listening areas with consistent coverage and reliable performance. Since opening, the system has received positive feedback from both guests and performers. "Everyone we talk to says it sounds incredible," Zuckerman says. "The artists have had nothing but good things to say about it, and our production team has been impressed with how smoothly everything has run." For DAS Audio, the project reflects a philosophy of partnership as much as engineering. "We don't just supply products, we invest in partnerships. From technical training and support to the design and responsive service, the DAS Audio of America team is committed to giving our partners every advantage possible" says Carlos Henao, senior sales engineer at DAS Audio, "Going above and beyond isn't an expectation we set for ourselves; it's the standard our partners deserve." Working closely with Zuckerman and the Tootsie's team throughout planning and installation, DAS Audio helped develop a system tailored to the venue's beachfront environment, performance goals, and long-term operational needs.
