coolux Hosts Connect Conference 2011

The first coolux Connect Conference, which was held in Cologne, Germany, January 11-12. attracted approximately 180 industry professionals from all over the world.

The conference was intended as a forum for experienced and prospective coolux customers alike to meet each other, inform themselves about the latest technological developments and get answers to all questions related to coolux and coolux products. Designers, technical directors, operators and content creators alike were able to have in-depth conversations and share valuable industry insights.

Seminar topics included (among others) screen tracking, interactive show design, 24/7 installations, advanced warping techniques, and WYSIWYG and multi-touch applications.

All seminars covered topics that were related to the coolux product family and created an opportunity for in-depth discussions and the sharing of live production best-practice experiences.

During his keynote presentation, coolux CEO Jan Huewel revealed the newest developments of the Pandoras Box product family. Huewel also presented the new coolux Widget Designer 3.0, featuring advanced Multi-Touch capabilities, camera based motion detection and Microsoft Kinect input.

When asked about the chance of more conferences to follow, Huewel said, "Due to the extremely positive feedback we have received, I am pretty sure that we will host another coolux connect conference in the not-too-distant future. We want to establish this conference as a regularly occurring event that offers first rate international contacts, a wonderful atmosphere and cutting edge technological know-how."
