Bandit Lites Illuminates Creed's Reunion Tour with Designer Mathias Kuhn

When multi-platinum rock band Creed launched their highly anticipated reunion tour, the power of their music was matched by an equally electrifying lighting design from lighting designer/designer Mathias Kuhn, brought to life by Bandit Lites.

With an ambitious rig featuring cutting-edge fixtures, custom truss configurations, and a new 40' Tyler GT circle, the company says, Kuhn crafted a design tho elevate the band's catalog while immersing audiences in the visual landscape. Lots of Tyler Ladder Towers coupled with the pre rigged Tyler GT circle speed up load in and load out, saving the show a lot of labor costs.

"As the Bandits like to say, it's a people business," shares Kuhn. "The client reps and the people in the shop all have great touring experience, so they know what you need and how to make my ideas into a tour-friendly rig. The touring crew kills it every day in every venue, and all that makes the show as good as it is."

The rig's backbone is built on the Robe BMFL series and Claypaky Mythos/Sharpy X-Frames, serving as the tour's workhorses. Adding layers of dynamic looks are ACME Pixelline IP66 and ACME Pulsar S2 fixtures, which Kuhn credits with bringing "the little extra into the show." He also highlights the Claypaky Midi-B FX, strategically placed on the backline to "fill all the photos and IMAG with great eye candy looks."

Bandit supplied a comprehensive gear package, including Robe BMFL Spots and WashBeams, Elation Paladin Panels, GLP KNV Cubes, Chauvet Strike Arrays, and more, all tied together with state-of-the-art Grand MA3 control. The custom 40' Tyler GT circle became a centerpiece, offering both visual impact and logistical efficiency. "The new 40' Tyler GT circle makes it a lot easier on the crew," says Kuhn.
