Paragon 360, Bellevue Baptist Complete More Projects

The new audio system greatly improved the coverage of the space, the company says, all the way to the back wall.

Paragon 360 was called on once again by long-time client Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tennessee, for a trio of campus projects completed in mid-2025. The work included transforming two youth spaces and upgrading the Fellowship Hall with new state-of-the-art audio systems. Since 2011, Paragon has partnered with Bellevue on numerous projects, including the full-scale renovation of their iconic 7,000-seat sanctuary in 2014 and a major audio and acoustic upgrade in the main sanctuary in 2020.

In the middle school worship space, the goal was to open up surrounding hallways to expand the large group area and boost capacity. This transformation included a full audio/video/lighting upgrade, matching the high school space next door, and connecting the room to the church's larger production network. With its enhanced capabilities and increased seating for 250, the space now hosts not only middle school worship but also a variety of special events. The space featured lighting from PROLIGHTS, CHAUVET Professional, and High End Systems with ETC power and data distribution, and LED house lighting via Elation FUZE PENDANT units. The back of the stage features a 14'-by-8' StoryGlass Wallpaper Series LED wall by ReveLux with NovaStar processing. Audio systems included Allen & Heath mixers, Martin Audio speaker systems, along with Shure wireless microphones, distributed audio, and more.

In the fourth- and fifth-grade worship space, a hallway was remodeled, and three classrooms were replaced with a large group worship space that they never had before. The new 150-seat space included simple AVL systems, allowing it to be used for multiple events as well. The space featured stage lighting by ETC and Meteor, LED house-lighting, along with two 8' by 5' CrystalFlex Series ReveLux LED walls. Audio included Allen & Heath, QSC loudspeakers, Shure Wireless microphone systems, and more.

With more than 25,000 members, the church's 2,000-seat Fellowship Hall space is bigger than most church sanctuaries across the country. Paragon added DiGiCo consoles and modular, custom-fabricated control centers in 2021 for audio and video. However, this latest project included a new Martin Audio speaker system, Powersoft amplification, and new Shure wireless microphone systems. The new audio system greatly improved the coverage of the space, the company says, all the way to the back wall. The project also included some custom acoustical work.

"When you say Paragon 360 around Bellevue...that's like an extension of our family, they are part of us," says Mark Blair, the church's minister of music. "We knew going in how this would turn out. There wasn't a lot of skepticism; there was a lot of confidence. The end product is over the top." Alex Ertz, the church's technical director, adds, "As busy as this campus is, schedule means everything. Paragon has always hit the mark on getting a project done on time and on budget."
