Sensaphonics Announces 3D 20/20 Active Ambient Eye Plugs

	The new Sensaphonics 3D 20/20, shown in its current beta version, is the world's first active ambient optical protection system.

Sensaphonics, the technology manufacturer of personal monitoring, has announced its expansion into the field of custom eye protection with the introduction of the 3D 20/20, the world's first active ambient optical protection system. The system is designed to control the harmful rays from concert lighting systems, eliminating the strobing and glare that can cause headaches or even seizures among musicians and audience members alike.

"The 3D 20/20 is, quite simply, a game-changing product," explains Sensaphonics founder and president, Dr. Michael Santucci. "We've all been to concerts where intense, high-tech moving lights are used to create a dizzying optical landscape. And while we all appreciate how this can enhance the musical performance, the sheer number of lumens reflecting off the stage can be a real problem for those with sensitive eyes. The 3D 20/20 solves this problem by providing full user control of the visual concert experience, allowing the user to dial back the lighting intensity to safer levels."

The 3D 20/20 consists of a pair of custom-fit eye plugs with embedded light receptors that decode all the light sources in the visual field and filter them via an embedded, user-adjustable filter set that is fully adjustable for intensity, color temperature, and oscillation. The user only needs to set threshold levels in accordance with their personal preferences, creating a concert experience that is at once exciting and relaxing.

Designed for both musicians and audience members, the Sensaphonics 3D 20/20 is currently in beta test and is scheduled to ship in third quarter of 2014.
