DAS Audio Brings Sound to Sal Maglie Baseball Stadium At the heart of Niagara Falls' North End, a familiar voice has returned to the air. Sal Maglie Baseball Stadium, a historic gathering place for local fans and families, has come back to life with a new DAS Audio sound system. All designed to honor the stadium's legacy while reimagining its potential for the next generation. The system, installed by 5 Day Productions, brings power and musicality to every seat in the house. For Nathan Gambino, CEO of 5 Day Productions, this project was personal. "This stadium means a lot to me," Gambino shared. "I grew up coming here, sitting in these stands, hearing the crowd. To be trusted by the City of Niagara Falls to help bring that energy back...it's something really special." Working hand in hand with DAS Audio's engineering team, Gambino designed a weather-resistant, full-range solution tailored to the stadium's unique layout. The installation features OVI-12 IP54 rated loudspeakers and WR-322S subwoofers, strategically placed beneath the bleachers to deliver smooth, even coverage while maintaining the venue's clean, classic look. "The OVI-12-IP54 was the perfect fit," he says. "It gave us the throw distance, balance, and protection we needed to perform year-round, even through the Western New York winters. DAS has always built tough weather-proof stuff. It's the same gear they spec on cruise ships worldwide, and it just keeps working." When the system came online, Gambino says the results were immediate. "It was nearly perfect right out of the box. The coverage was even, the tone was musical, and there was plenty of headroom for any event this stadium will host. It sounded alive." "Every installation is an opportunity to create experiences that bring people together," says Carlos Henao, senior sales engineer for DAS Audio of America. "What happened at Sal Maglie Stadium is the kind of story that reminds us why we do what we do. Sound that builds community and memory."
