Matrox and ECA Bolster Video Wall Options for Control Rooms, Digital Signage

ECA's EVS video wall controllers have been validated with Matrox's complete portfolio of video wall hardware and software tools.

Matrox Video announces that ECA's EVS video wall controllers have been validated with Matrox's complete portfolio of video wall hardware and software tools. This collaboration enables OEMs, system integrators, and AV installers with new integration opportunities to customize EVS video wall controllers with multi-channel 4K and HD capture, encoding, streaming, recording, decoding, display, and control for mission-critical and commercial display wall applications, the company says.

ECA EVS video wall controllers -- available in two-, five-, seven-, ten-, and fourteen-slot 4U and 5U chassis systems -- are compatible with the D-Series quad-4K graphics card and Mura IPX 4K capture and IP encode/decode board product lines. Matrox's multi-channel, single-slot hardware cards offer video wall specialists the highest density connections on the smallest footprint, minimizing hardware integration costs and maintenance. In addition, Matrox's passive and active cooling card options guarantee optimal thermal support, resulting in 24/7 reliability, high MTBF, and long product life cycles. Matrox APIs and libraries, meanwhile, allow for rapid customization of control interfaces and applications.

"The ECA and Matrox collaboration ensures that we are providing the right high-performance building blocks to design and fast-track purpose-built solutions," says Tom Fiander, sales manager at ECA Services. "With a variety of video wall hardware, software, and controller options to choose from, we are enabling a simpler, quicker approach to video walls-no matter the visualization requirement."

"When it comes to video walls, there is no one-size-fits-all approach, which makes ECA's new video wall controller options essential for customers fulfilling project requirements that inevitably shift from one installation to the next," says Fadhl Al-Bayaty, business development manager at Matrox Video. "Teaming up with industry influencers like ECA allows us to empower OEMs and AV professionals with innovative yet customizable platforms so they can deliver fully optimized local and/or networked video walls."

The EVS ECA video wall controller lineup includes the EVS-290 (2 slots), EVS-540-ASMB-815 (5 slots), EVS-540-X299 (7 slots), EVS-540-C621E (7 slots), EVS-840 (10 slots), and EVS-XL (14 slots) systems. All systems come with a redundant power supply. For more information on the technical specifications, please visit the Matrox validated platforms page.
