Scott Crossfield Becomes a Fellow of the ASTC

Scott Crossfield

Theatre Projects announces that director Scott Crossfield has been elevated to Fellow of the American Society of Theatre Consultants (ASTC). The news was announced at the ASTC's Annual Meeting on March 5.

The ASTC says "Elevation to Fellowship status is one of the highest honors the ASTC can bestow upon a member. Fellowship not only recognizes the achievements of a consultant as an individual but also elevates the member before the public." Members must be nominated for this honor by their peers and the ASTC considers several factors before bestowing the honor, including their consulting expertise, history of service within the profession and in the organization, and their research and published works.

Crossfield joined Theatre Projects in 2007, specializing in programming, planning, and auditorium design, having previously been a principal of the theatre consulting firm Davis Crossfield Associates. He has consulted on hundreds of arts projects worldwide, including Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando, The Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Belmont University in Nashville, and the Kennedy Center Theater Lab in Washington DC. He speaks frequently at industry conferences and guest lectures on theatre design at numerous prestigious universities.

After his elevation to Fellowship, Crossfield says, "Any time you hit a career milestone it's a moment of deep reflection, centered around the people that have inspired, supported, and championed you along the way. I'm grateful to all my colleagues for supporting me through the years. It is because of their love and support that I was able to achieve one of my personal and professional dreams."

Crossfield is also currently serving on the ASTC Board of Directors. He can be reached at scrossfield@theatreprojects.com.
