Now Shipping: AVANTE Audio's New Imperio SUB210 Dual 10" Sub Bass Enclosure

Avante Audio's Imperio SUB210 Dual 10" Sub Bass enclosure

AVANTE Audio announces the immediate availability of its new Imperio SUB210 compact, yet powerful, dual 10" sub bass enclosure. It expands the existing Imperio "mini array" system, which offers a powerful, flexible, and scalable active audio system that is ideal for installation in mid-size venues as well as for use by production companies working on one-off or touring events.

The Imperio SUB210 has a sixth order bandpass design and combines two 10" woofers, each with a 2.5" voice coil, into a deceptively compact enclosure. This has a robust plywood construction with a 1.2mm steel protective grille and an understated, yet sleek, aesthetic. It is fitted with two convenient handles, which wrap around from the top to the side, allowing for easy lifting, carrying, and rigging.

With a power output of 700W RMS (1400W peak), the SUB210's internal Class D amplifier allows for a maximum SPL of 124dB. The unit has a frequency response of 60Hz - 150Hz and generates a rich and punchy output. It has been specifically designed to be used in conjunction with the Imperio array module to create a detailed and balanced sound that offers exceptional intelligibility, coverage, warmth, and audio fidelity.

The Imperio SUB210 features an internal crossover that can be switched to 90Hz or 120Hz and is also phase switchable (a switch to reverse the phase). It is fitted with XLR and powerCON input and thru connections together with a volume control dial and status LEDs for power and signal/clip. All of the connections and controls are mounted on a recessed panel on the back of the unit to avoid accidental catching and resultant damage during transit.

A flexible cabinet, the SUB210 has been designed so that it can be used standing either on its short or long side for better coupling to the floor. It features M20 screw pole mounts as well as rubber feet and stacking recesses on two sides, which means that multiple units can be stacked in either orientation and then connected to array modules using the dedicated Imperio Pole. Despite packing in two drivers and generating an impressive low frequency output, it has compact dimensions of just 14.25" x 26.4" x 22.6" / 362mm x 670mm x 575mm (L x D x H) and weighs in at an easily manageable 76lb. / 34.5Kg.

"At Avante Audio we're always talking to our customers and developing our product range to meet their wants and needs," explains Chuck Green, director of sales for Avante Audio. The Imperio Series has been incredibly well-received, with audio professionals loving its detailed audio clarity as well as its flexible and compact design. But some customers who have been deploying Imperio systems in larger venues told us that they wanted more low end than our existing single 10" Imperio SUB model could provide. Others told us that -- due to the nature of the events they're working -- they just needed more impactful bass. The answer to both of these needs is the new SUB210, which offers more powerful bass output while retaining the compact design which is the M.O. of the whole Imperio Series."

The newly available SUB210 joins the existing models in the Imperio Series: the Imperio, a versatile array module loaded with a pair of small woofers alongside six high frequency drivers, and the Imperio SUB single 10" sub bass enclosure. The array module can be paired with either sub model in a wide variety of configurations, including pole-mounted, ground-stacked, or flown. The splay angle between array modules can be individually altered between 0-, 4-, 8-, or 12-degrees, while flying hardware is available to allow either a whole system including the subs to be flown or just the array modules allowing the subs to be separately ground-stacked.

The Imperio, Imperio SUB, and new Imperio SUB210 are all available now from Avante Audio distributors and dealers worldwide.
