Shure Partners with Audinate for ULX-D Digital Wireless Receivers

Shure Incorporated and Audinate, Inc. have announced a licensing agreement for Audinate's Dante digital audio networking technology. Dante networking enables multiple channels of audio to be distributed to a variety of devices over a single Ethernet cable. Dante networking provides reliable, low latency audio transport and can coexist safely on the same network as IT and control data.

"Shure chose to work with Audinate because they deliver a robust, scalable, flexible networking solution that is easy to set up and configure," said Christine Schyvinck, Shure executive vice president of global marketing and sales. "Dante networking will enable future Shure products to be seamlessly integrated with network-based audio-visual systems in all types of applications. We're happy to join the growing list of companies that are embracing Dante."

The first Shure products to include Dante networking capability are the ULXD4D Dual-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver and ULXD4Q Quad-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver. These dual and quad channel systems are part of the new ULX-D wireless line and are being launched at InfoComm 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Shure has been at the forefront of many innovations over the years, and we are proud they have chosen Dante as their digital media networking solution," says Lee Ellison Audinate's CEO. Ellison also adds, "We have been working closely with Shure on these exciting new products for quite some time and are thrilled to see these innovative networked products come to market. Shure is known for its superior performance, and we expect that the networked ULX-D family of digital wireless receivers will be a game changer."
