RCF Launches S 29 WP and S 19 WP Subwoofers Engineered with the latest transducer innovations from its laboratories and featuring a weatherproof design with IP67 connectors, RCF says its S Series subwoofers deliver consistent, high-performance sound in any environmental condition. "Despite its compact form factor," the company adds, "the S Series subwoofers provide powerful and impactful low-frequency reproduction, effortlessly handling even the most demanding program material." The product's features include a maximum SPL of 143dB, a 19" hyper-vented neodymium woofer with 4" v.c.; a steel front grille with water-repellent protection, a polyurea-coated multi-ply cabinet, integrated M20 threaded pole mount on top, and two Amphenol ecolmate IP67 connectors. The units feature precision transducer technology housing the new 19" proprietary Precision Transducers subwoofer. The company says the 19" cone size is the ideal balance between traditional high-speed 18" and the slower 21" and inherits the best characteristics of the two sizes. The ultra-long excursion moving mass (2.5" safe peak-to-peak) ensures high power with fast acceleration. Both models boast a bass-reflex design that delivers an efficient acoustic response, reaching lows of 30Hz for the S 19 and 25Hz for the S 29, with extreme power handling capabilities -- up to 1,500W for the S 19 and 3,000W for the S 29. The front vent port facilitates installation in recessed areas. The units are available for pre-order as of now.
