ADJ Launches New Monster Beam 25W LED Moonflower

ADJ's Monster Beam 25W LED Moonflower

The ADJ Moonflower effect has always been one of the most popular effects among DJs, nightclubs, bars, roller rinks, and bowling centers because of its ease-of-use and colorful, moving beams of light that help create excitement for any type of party.

The new Monster Beam has a higher capacity LED engine than any other ADJ Moonflower to date. In fact, this fixture boasts 25W of LED output, creating thick beams to be used with or without fog. The fixture's beam angle is 29-degrees, and easily covers a large area. If fog is not allowed, the Monster Beam's large, bright dot patterns may still be projected at a wall, ceiling, or the dance floor.

The Monster Beam is brighter and more colorful too -- illuminated by 25 LEDs: five red, five green, five blue, five white, and now five amber. Each LED uses a 1W source. All LEDs are rated at a 50,000 hour lifespan.

"Moonflowers have always been one of our most popular effects installed in entertainment centers, or among mobile entertainers," said, Alfred Gonzales, national sales manager for ADJ USA. "With the continuous advancements in LED technology, our customers have asked for higher powered Moonflowers with more colors. With the new 25W output boost, the new addition of amber, creating more colors, and now with thicker beams of light, the Monster Beam is sure to be a big seller in 2014!"

This fixture includes built-in programs. Just plug the unit in and set it to sound active mode. The Monster Beam will deliver so you can focus on the music and your patrons. Along with a sound active mode, the Monster Beam also may be operated in DMX mode. Or connect multiple units together and they will all impressively do the same thing in master/slave mode. Additional control of this Moonflower may come from the ADJ UC3, easy-to-use controller, which is sold separately.

The Monster Beam's digital display and four-button user menu allow easy control of the fixture operation. There are also DMX in/out link-ability and IEC in/out power connectors to daisy-chain up to seven Monster Beams at 120V operation, or 12 Monster Beams at 230V operation. Its multi-voltage operation (100-240V, 50/60Hz) means the user doesn't need to worry about voltage requirements. Just plug it in and it will sense the user's power requirements.

A hanging bracket to attach on truss or pipes and a safety loop to attach a safety cable are included on the unit. The maximum draw is a low 40W of power. The dimensions of the Monster Beam is 15.5" x 10" x 8.25" / 213x254x207 mm, and the weight is only 8 lb / 3.3 kgs.
