Vari-Lite Announces New LT Model of VL3600Vari-Lite, a Signify entertainment lighting brand, announces the VL3600 LT Profile IP. This long-throw version of the VL3600 Series luminaire offers the same color mixing, powerful effects, and outdoor weather rating as the existing fixture, but with superior output at extremely narrow zoom ranges, the company says. "The VL3600 Profile IP is quickly becoming an industry standard on the world's largest tours, TV events and theatrical productions," explains Martin Palmer, Vari-Lite product management and marketing leader at Signify. "Designers love the output, colors and feature set in the fixture, but want an option for longer throw applications. That's why we designed the VL3600 LT for key lighting at a distance, with an optimized long-throw optical system and 3° to 42° zoom range." The 1,000W luminaire offers a matched feature set to the VL3600 Profile, including the source, optics and color mixing system, as well as the exclusive VL*FX animation wheel, patent-pending V*Track Calibration system, IP65 outdoor weather rating and more. This ensures the fixtures can be used together seamlessly in a production, the company says. "Solotech has already made the first purchase of VL3600 LT units, increasing the overall position of VL3600 Series fixtures by approximately 200 additional units," says John Flynn, vice president, operations, Solotech Live Productions. "These additional VL3600 and 3600 LT units are immediately being shipped on Solotech global tours and events, and we are confident more productions featuring the VL3600 LT are expected in the coming months." The VL3600 LT Profile IP will be displayed on the Vari-Lite stand (D51) at the Plasa Show in London, UK.
