Open Forum Meeting on Saving Stage Lighting Set for May 11

National Theatre

London's National Theatre is offering a chance for everyone involved at every level to learn about and discuss the proposed 2020 EU lighting regulations and the impact they would have on entertainment lighting. The event will be held May 11, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, on a drop-in basis; attendees can come and go as they need.

The event will provide the opportunity to learn more about the background to these regulations, find out more about the issues, hear what industry bodies ALD, PLASA, ABTT, and PSA and others have been doing to have the rules changed, and see what you can do to help.

Key people who have been deeply involved in the Save Stage Lighting campaign will be there, so you can come and hear the issues directly from them. It will also be a useful opportunity for the campaign to collect information and comments before attending a meeting to discuss the issues with the EU in Brussels on May 17.

The event is intended as an open forum: Come when you can, stay as long as you can. It will provide an opportunity for as many people who will be affected by this as possible to talk about things and figure out what is to be done.

This issue is real, and it is serious. Don't leave it to others to try to solve. Come along and see how you can help.
