Clearwing Productions Adds Two Yamaha CL5 Consoles to their Rental Inventory

Yamaha CL5 console

Keeping pace with the ever evolving and advancing digital audio marketplace, Clearwing has purchased two Yamaha CL5 consoles. This purchase offers their rental customers access to Yamaha's most technologically advanced digital console to-date.

Yamaha CL series digital mixing consoles offer an improved experience in mixing, according to the company, with sonic purity and audio shaping capabilities that will give the most inventive engineers exceptional creative freedom. The CL series was engineered to exemplify the standard in live sound in its most current and expressive form. The board's control surface is very compact, yet Yamaha has packed a lot of processing power within the small footprint. With this console, Yamaha has expanded upon the Centralogic platform they introduced with their M7CL series while retaining the familiar layout, offering a bright and easy-to-read touch screen and quality onboard plug-ins.

"The board sounded very nice. The onboard premium effects rack really gave the board a very natural, smooth and more controlled sound. I loved the layout and ease of navigation. I always felt in control and was never more than a button or two away from the menu or fader layer when I needed to be. The Yamaha interface also made setup and mixing very simple. I was able to get shows programmed much faster than on any other Yamaha board." Aaron Frisbie, sound engineer, Phoenix Theatre, Phoenix, Arizona.
