CNK Engineering Provides Part 74 Licensing for Events and Venues Utilizing Wireless Microphones

Licensed operation of wireless microphones is becoming increasingly difficult in light of the FCC spectrum auction. Wireless microphones must now for compete in reduced available spectrum with wireless broadband companies, local television stations, public safety, and white space devices.

FCC Part 74 licensing is a complex process. CNK Engineering makes it easy for a school, church, entertainer, club, or performing arts center that uses wireless microphones, in-ear monitors, instrument links, or production comms that does not meet the 50 microphone in continuous use threshold to operate with Part 74 licensed protection.

The CNK Engineering Part 74 licensing program is a simple way to operate a single event or regular operation such as weekly worship services or high school sports events under protected frequencies at any geographic location in the US or US territories. CNK Engineering registers the user's frequencies in the nationwide FCC database and maintains the license on their behalf. The user doesn't have to fill out FCC paperwork, CNK Engineering has already done this for them. Any event or venue operating wireless devices should seriously consider the risk of operating under Part 15 without a license given today's volatile use of the radio frequencies and wide range of devices operating in the same frequency range. T Mobile's rollout of their 600MHz broadband wireless system and Microsoft's announcement of development of their UHF whitespace internet system make Part 74 operation even more challenging.
