Reporting to Jean-Louis Blanchard, president, Royal will oversee financial planning, reporting, and risk management. Her responsibilities will include developing and analyzing statistical and accounting information, establishing major economic objectives and policies, and directing financial and budget activities to maximize investments and increase efficiency. In addition to Royal's financial acumen, she will play a crucial role in evaluating and developing her team, fostering strong partnerships with other departments. Royal has extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, having led commercial finance and reporting for Voortman Bakery globally. She has also held finance roles of increasing responsibility at Alcon Canada, Kellogg Canada, Lindt & Sprungli (Canada), and Sears Canada, where she oversaw commercial and operational finance functions, developed sales and operating budgets, and implemented strategic initiatives.
