ADJ Sets the Stage to Unveil Exciting New Lighting and Video Products at LDI 2019

Entertainment lighting and video specialist ADJ will use the 2019 LDI trade show in Las Vegas to unveil multiple exciting additions right across its product range. These will include a whole new series of LED video panels, a Hydro Series IP65-rated moving head wash, and a high power moving head beam fixture, as well as LED-powered followspot and strobe fixtures.

ADJ's new "VS" Vision Series of LED video panels offers a versatile modular solution that has been developed to make life easier for video professionals installing LED walls on either a temporary or permanent basis. Each model in the range features four individual modules, which are front and rear serviceable, making it ideal for both temporary hanging and permanent wall mounting. The modules are all mounted to the same frame, allowing panels of different resolutions to be used together and meaning that the same rigging bar and road case can be used for all VS models. The panels feature in-built corner protectors as well as an innovative setup mechanism featuring magnets that can be used to temporarily connect two units together, allowing users to let go of the panel to free their hands to engage the secure latching system on the rear. This means that a single user can install a full wall of Vision Series panels singlehandedly. The VS Series will launch with three panel models. The VS5 offers a 5.95mm pixel pitch, the VS3 has a 3.91mm pixel pitch and the VS2 offers the highest resolution in the range with a 2.97mm pixel pitch. All panels feature the highest quality LEDs for crisp, clear output and offer a brightness of 1000 NITS and a high refresh rate of 3840Hz. The VS Series is completed by the VSFC8 flight case, a robust wheeled road trunk designed to transport and protect up to eight panels, and the VSRB1 rigging bar, which can be used to vertically hang or ground stack up to 20 VS panels.

The Hydro Series is ADJ's flagship IP65-rated moving head range, offering lighting professionals high quality, yet affordable, fixtures that are sealed from liquid, humidity, dust, and dirt. LDI 2019 will see the official debut of the new Hydro Wash X19, which is the latest model to join the range. A potent and punchy wash luminaire, the unit is powered by 19 Osram 40W RGBW (four-in-one) LEDs. It offers a wealth of features including motorized focus (6- ~ 40-degrees), WiFLY wireless DMX, six dimmer curve modes and gamma correction as well as fine pan, tilt, and dimming control.

LDI 2019 will also see the official unveiling of the latest addition to ADJ's Vizi Series of moving head fixtures. The new Vizi Beam 12RX is a high-powered unit designed to generate crisp mid-air beam effects at concerts, dance events and in large nightclubs. Powered by the 260W Philips Platinum MSD 12R LL (6,000 hour) discharge lamp, the fixture incorporates a precision optical system that focuses the light into a razor sharp 2-degree beam. This can be shaped using a host of onboard features, giving lighting designers vast creative potential. These include a 14-position dichroic color wheel + open, 16 rotating gobos + open, motorized focus, a 24-facet circular prism, and a frost filter for wash effects.

The Focus Series is ADJ's range of feature-packed and compact LED-powered moving head fixtures. The new Focus Spot 5Z expands the series at the top of its range, harnessing the power of a brilliant 200W cool white LED engine to generate potent mid-air beam effects and vibrant surface projections. It packs a whole host of beam manipulation tools into its neat 18" high frame, including motorized focus, motorized zoom (11- ~ 22-degrees), 14 dichroic colors including CTO, CTB, and UV filters (split across two wheels), seven replaceable rotating gobos, two rotating prisms (five-facet linear and six-facet circular), and two frost filters (heavy and light frost) to create wash effects. It is designed both for temporary live events and fixed installations in nightclubs, theatres, event centers, or churches.

LDI 2019 will also see the debut of ADJ's new Jolt 300 LED strobe. This multi-function fixture features a central strip of 144 0.5W white SMD LEDs, surrounded on both sides by 144 0.5W RGB SMD LEDs. This provides lighting designers with the creative potential of generating both strikingly bright white strobe effects and vibrant color washes from the same compact fixture. Featuring locking power input and output connections, a choice of three-pin and five-pin DMX sockets, and both a variable angle hanging bracket and rear omega bracket connection points, it is an extremely versatile fixture ideal for concert tours, one-off event production and permanent nightclub installation.

The FS3000LED is a powerful and feature-packed follow spot that is joining ADJ's range of theatrical stage lighting fixtures. Powered by a potent 300W warm white COB LED engine with a CRI of 98, the unit generates a powerful spotlight ideal for tracking performers on concert and theatre stages. It features digital dimming, an adjustable beam angle of 12- ~ 44-degrees, framing shutters and a gobo slot. The fixture supports both DMX and IR remote control, with an intuitive touchscreen interface on the rear panel facilitating DMX addressing and mode selection. In addition, a convenient rotary brightness control on the back panel makes for easy manual control, while two large rear handles allow for comfortable manual positioning.

ADJ's final new product launch for LDI 2019 is the Pixie Strip Series. This is a family of compact RGB LED strip fixtures that are encased in opaque plastic and offer full pixel-mapping control. The range features 30, 60, and 120 LED models -- the Pixie Strip 30, Pixie Strip 60, and Pixie Strip 120 -- together with a dedicated driver unit, the Pixie Driver 2000. The strips daisy chain together from the driver's two 24V output sockets using proprietary four-pin combo cables, which provide them with both a power supply and control signal. The Pixie Driver 2000 offers simple on-board control over dimming, strobing and RGB color mixing, as well as variety of in-built chase patterns. It also features RJ45 input and output sockets allowing full pixel mapping control via KlingNet (up to 2,040 pixels) and Art-Net / sACN (up to 340 pixels).

"Here at ADJ we always look forward to the annual LDI show, as it is our opportunity to share our latest product innovations with the industry," enthuses ADJ USA's national sales manager, Alfred Gonzales. "It is also a fantastic opportunity for us to educate lighting designers and other industry professionals on the merits of our mid-range product line for event production and installation. Our booth will be packed with the key fixtures from our existing catalog of professional lighting, video, and effects equipment, while also providing a showcase for all of the new products we have ready to display for the first time. I'm especially looking forward to introducing visitors to the Vision Series of LED panels. This new range has been developed in close consultation with video professionals to provide both fantastic visual clarity and unbeatable usability, and I'm sure it is going to prove extremely popular with both new and existing ADJ customers."

The LDI 2019 trade show takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, November 22 - 24. On the ADJ booth -- 612 -- not only will the company's latest products be on display, but the knowledgeable ADJ team will be on hand to provide demonstrations, offer useful advice, and answer specific questions.
